Small Businesses Beware of Internet Hackers in 2018 - New Study

AUTHOR: Sogol Sabbar

A new report by Aon's Cyber Solutions has recently come out with predictions that small businesses will continue to be targeted by hackers this year, and this time they are going after the Internet of Things (IoT). The Internet of Things (IoT) includes devices we use on a daily basis such as smartphones, printers, copy machines, security camera systems, and other connected endpoints through which client data can be exposed if hacked. Hackers are becoming smarter and smarter these days as they figure out unique and creative ways to steal your information. They are going after devices you wouldn't think to protect and using small businesses to get through to larger corporations. The study states that 55% of small businesses reported having been breached between 2015 and 2016, however, only a small majority of them said they viewed it as the most critical issue they face. This is a huge concern in that if small businesses owners don't take precautionary efforts to protect their businesses now, they will be faced with major costs to fix the issues later. Don't let your businesses become valuable to these hackers. Get the full report and start protecting your business:
